BREAST CANCER BEATDOWN

Breast Cancer Beatdown is a community-driven girls flag football event hosted by Draft Prep Academy, created to bring together athletics, leadership, mentorship, and breast cancer awareness.

Designed for young women from the youth and high-school levels, Breast Cancer Beatdown uses the growing sport of girls flag football as a platform to empower female athletes, develop leadership skills, promote teamwork, and create meaningful opportunities for the next generation.

The event was inspired by the personal loss of Draft Prep Academy founder Malik Boynton, whose mother passed away from breast cancer. Her legacy serves as the driving force behind an event dedicated to turning pain into purpose and using sports to make a positive impact in the community.

Participants receive opportunities to learn the fundamentals of flag football while engaging in leadership development, mentorship, education, and meaningful conversations surrounding breast cancer awareness. The event also creates an environment where young women can build confidence, develop relationships, and experience the power of competition and community.

A portion of proceeds from Breast Cancer Beatdown is dedicated to supporting families affected by breast cancer, extending the event’s impact beyond the field.
