NFL Free Agents Stand Out at DB Retreat
The DB Retreat took place on June 30th and lasted through July 2nd. Many came out to learn, teach, network, and grow.
Out of the group in attendance — five NFL Free Agent DBs stood out in their professionalism, attentiveness, and overall performance.
Kai Gray, FS
Kai “KJ” Gray is a professional football journeyman. While he has never been granted the opportunity to play in the NFL — Gray has been a standout performer in both the UFL and CFL.
Gray most recently played in the UFL Championship, where he had two interceptions.
“Gray is a baller. He has elite size and is very skilled for his size. He’s a true free safety with good natural instincts playing the deep ball and making open field tackles.”

Devyn Bobby, SS
Devyn Bobby is a steal at this point. The Baylor Bears used Bobby as a true free safety — assigned with patrolling the middle of the field and running the alley.
Although, Bobby has limited reps operating in man and in the slot — Bobby has showed elite change of direction and technique.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought Bobby in for camp following this year’s NFL Draft. Bobby was also brought in by the Arizona Cardinals for a private workout.
“I attended a Spring 2025 practice for the Baylor Bears and it was one of the few times they had Bobby operate in the slot. He finished the day with three interceptions. The kid is good and it’s only a matter of time before a team gives him the opportunity he needs to show the world.”

5’11, 195 lbs., NFL Free Agent
Rowser is a product of pure talent. After a career that has varied from FCS to Group of five to Power 4 — where he finished at Arizona State. Rowser was a Freshman All-American at Campbell University before transferring to New Mexico State University. After a productive season, Rowser landed at Arizona State where he earned All Big-12 Honors.
Rowser was invited to camp with the Seattle Seahawks after the draft.
“I think Ghost has a ton of untapped potential. He hasn’t scratched the surface of how good he can be. His natural aggression and physicality is that of the old school era of safeties. I love his game.”
