The DB Retreat is returning to the DFW
Draft Prep Association brings the DB Retreat back to Arlington, TX. The DB Retreat is an event hosted by former professional athlete Malik Boynton. Boynton played four years at Austin Peay State University — prior to spending time with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018.
The DB Retreat was designed to bring together defensive backs of all ages. The event is broken into two segments — College/Pro and Middle School/High School. The Pro/College group will be run by some of the best college coaches in football while also obliging to the rules of the NCAA.
The middle school/high school group will serve as an opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills on a network of over 3,000 collegiate coaches. This segment will be run by some of the best trainers in the DFW.
Last Year, there were over 18 Universities represented and over TWELVE offers received following the event.
As for the pro group, well, when they arrived they were greeted by NFL Executive Lionel Vital — who has spent over 30 years working in the NFL. After the multi-day event, Vital gave some insight to the guys and aided in SIX athletes getting professional football opportunities.
Everyone in attendance will receive a shirt, a chance to gain exposure on their respective level, and top-notch training and coaching.
